Credit Card System Usage August 2001 - June 2002

The ACS Credit Card Module was implemented in late August 2001. The first portion of the module was set up to pay tuition online. In April 2002 a second application was added, to pay admission application fees. Both are running smoothly. The credit card system has accepted over $19 million in tuition payment transactions and over $72,000 in Admissions Application fees. The most common credit card used is Visa, making up nearly 12,000 of the 19,682 transactions processed. Following behind were Mastercard (3,271), American Express (3,080), and Discover (1,049). Server usage has been consistently good. The average transaction time is 14 seconds going as high as 32 seconds during peak processing times -- Tuition and Admissions Application deadlines. The maximum number of hits the server has encountered since the system has been live is 4,929 which was on September 1, 2001 followed closely by the deadline for fall tuition on September 21, 2001 at 4,822. Processing errors have totalled 1,026 and of those 78 were due to the ACS System and 948 were Utah Interactive, our vendor system.
